Mike Fursier is a Commercial Lead at Charter Project Delivery with over 24 years of international experience in major infrastructure and capital project delivery. A Chartered Surveyor and qualified arbitrator, Mike has led commercial strategy and contract management on complex projects across Canada, the UK, and the Middle East, bringing a powerful combination of technical expertise, legal insight, and practical leadership.
Mike’s career spans sectors including transit, energy, nuclear, and building infrastructure. In Canada, he has held senior roles on major capital programs such as the Coastal GasLink pipeline and currently serves as Commercial Director on Calgary’s $5+ billion Green Line LRT project—the largest infrastructure initiative in the city’s history. As the named City Representative under the Development Phase Agreement, Mike leads contract and commercial governance while reporting to the independent oversight board.
His expertise includes contract negotiation, change management, dispute resolution, expert witness testimony, and governance for multi-billion-dollar programs. Known for his ability to rapidly assess key project risks and define value-driven strategies, Mike has also served in advisory and audit roles supporting executive leadership with commercial risk mitigation and project performance improvement.
