Kyle Forbes is the Practice Lead for Design Management at Charter, with nearly two decades of experience delivering complex transportation and infrastructure projects across British Columbia. A registered Professional Engineer and certified Project Management Professional, Kyle brings deep expertise in multidisciplinary coordination, contract administration, and technical leadership on high-profile public sector developments.

Throughout his career, Kyle has played pivotal roles in the planning, design, and construction oversight of bridges, highways, interchanges, rail infrastructure, and port facilities. His extensive field experience and design management acumen make him uniquely effective in navigating the technical and logistical challenges of both Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects. Notable assignments include the Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program, Taylor Bridge Project, Northeast False Creek redevelopment, and the Johnson Street Bridge Replacement.

As Charter’s Design Management Practice Lead, Kyle oversees large, multi-consultant teams and serves as a key liaison between owners, engineers, municipalities, and stakeholders. His expertise spans utility relocations, transportation structures, roadway engineering, environmental coordination, and public realm enhancements. Whether guiding concept design, preparing procurement packages, or coordinating project delivery, Kyle is known for his hands-on leadership, attention to detail, and ability to deliver infrastructure that meets technical, schedule, and stakeholder expectations.
